A Dance of Contrasts

The shift is upon us. Can you feel it?

Something moves on the wind now—the breath of spring stirring in the soil, in the roots, in the rhythm of the returning birdsong. The Earth awakens in a slow crescendo, keeping time with the Sun’s rising arc. We stand at the threshold of a new season, one that beckons us to step forward with intention, with presence, with care.

April in Washington is a dance of contrasts—soft rains and sudden warmth, budding branches and the last retreating chill. The garden reflects this balance, holding the memory of winter while reaching for the promise of growth. Each unfurling leaf and stretching tendril reminds us that change is inevitable, transformation constant. How do we meet this moment?

With reverence.

We must look on our world with the inspiration of an artist, the love of a mother. Every act in the garden—whether planting a seed, turning the compost, or tending a fragile sprout—is an act of care, of relationship, of devotion. What we cultivate now will echo forward, shaping the landscapes of tomorrow.

At Eco-Restore, we embrace this shift not just as gardeners, but as stewards. Whether you're reimagining your space, revitalizing the soil, or seeking guidance on what to plant, we are here to help. Our work is rooted in the rhythms of the land, honoring what is already present while designing for resilience and abundance. This season, let’s move in harmony with nature, reviving what has been overlooked and celebrating the beauty that emerges from mindful tending.

The shift is happening. Are you here? Are you aware? Let’s face it with care.

Regenerate, cultivate, and grow—in community,
Your Eco-Restore Team

The Shift
Excerpt from Lena Moon 2012

Something moves on the wind now
star patterns show us a sign
a rhythm pulses from the Sun
Keeping time with the heart-beat of the Earth
tidal waves and firestorms come swiftly to shake us awake
We are wizards of wonder
We employ joy as our weapon
We make love. We make music
As acts of resisDance.
We take what is waste
revive it with our creativity

We must look on our world;
with the inspiration of an artist,
The love of a mother

omens implore us
come conscious!  rise up!!
Are you here? Are you aware?
there is a Shift happening!
You must face it with care!!
